Some projects I've done lately....

I put a shelf up in the loft that is at the kids' eye level. It's purpose is to display books. Madelyn can't stop picking them up, sitting right down and reading them. I haven't seen the older kids do that yet, but its only a matter of time. Books are hard to resist when they are out on display. I know those are usually the ones that catch my eye.

I also sewed curtains in for the bathroom. It gets super hot in there in the summertime, so I thought curtains would help block a little bit of the heat. They are still thin enough to let most of the light in.

Also, I recovered the patio chairs. It really brightened them up! They were a black stripe before. If you look closely, the lines don't match up....which just tells you what kind of a sewer I am! Hardly a perfectionist....it looks (and works) great to me.

I have many more projects to come! I went with a friend to a fabric store today and got a few more yards....
