We decided to go through Yellowstone park on our way home from Montana. It added a lot of hours onto the drive, but I'm so glad we did it. I wish Sam could have been with us, because he has never been, but it was just us and the girls. Immediately upon entering the park, we saw a brown bear. (I was sort of freaking out because I have always been scared of bears.) Very peaceful, he could have cared less that people were gawking at him.
We also ran by some Buffalo pretty quickly too. Madelyn was in heaven. All these animals!
Our next stop was at Old Faithful. We ended up having to wait for about 45 minutes before it erupted, so the girls just played in the shade. Pretty soon a family from China came over and started talking to the girls. They had kids the same age.
And before you know it, Scarlet had their attention. She was telling them all sorts of things and singing songs from Frozen for them. They loved it.
Finally it was time...
Next, we stopped at this gorgeous waterfall. There was a tiny hike up to see the top of it.
It was seriously a treat to see all these trees and blue mountains! Living in the desert has sure made me appreciate the beauty up north.
The Grand Teton Mountain range and Jackson Lake.
Some more buffalo!
We stopped in Jackson, Wyoming for some dinner, then on to the Knudson's to stay the night. Best drive we have ever taken!
