Last year in February, we planted our garden for the first time. One of the kids chose to plant broccoli. The plant didn't die, but it didn't really seem to be growing any broccoli either. It was watered all summer and fall, but no water during the winter. The other day we were in the backyard and we spotted the broccoli! It actually grew, and now we've harvested it and it's on the dinner menu.
Also some of the flowers that never bloomed are starting to bloom now. Weird.
