Our Easter Day...

The girls wore dresses made out of one of my old dresses.
Sam wanted nothing to do with Easter clothes. He wore the usual to church.

Brooklyn helped me pick these tulips out. They bloomed just in time for Sunday.

We had a really great Easter Sunday this year. We went to church, came home and found Easter baskets. Then we went over to a friends house and had a scrumptious dinner. After we ate, the kids played while the adults chatted which is really my kind of afternoon! I brought the veggies. I made a veggie tray (with red, yellow, and green peppers, carrotts, sweet peas that were the favorite, radishes, broccoli and tomatoes) with homemade ranch dip, and also brought baked carrots. The ranch dressing was so easy to make and so good. It was based off of Pioneer Woman's ranch recipe. Here's what I ended up putting in mine:

1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk (add more if you want it to be more of a dressing than a dip)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
dried parsley (about 1 tablespoon)
dried dill (a little less than 1 tablespoon)
salt to taste

Super simple and super yummy.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Nice job on the dresses! Great idea to use your old dress. Happy Easter. Glad it was a good one.

Thanks for the recipe. The sad part is that I will now never be satisfied with Hidden Valley or any other store-bought ranch dressing again! I had no idea that ranch was meant to be so darn delicious.

Oh, and the dresses are fabulous!
