In honor of the 2 month mark
Today I ventured out into this big city that we live in. I hadn't yet gone out too far on my own without John by my side, and those crazy three kids that keep following us around. I took the 215 to the 95, exited on Washington and ended up at Trader Joes. I've heard so many great things about it that I had to check it out. Madelyn and I picked up some yummy food that I'm looking forward to making into dinner tonight. While we were driving, Madelyn singing the whole way, I realized that today marks two months for us here. It seems like it's been longer....so much can happen in two months. As for Trader Joes, I wish it were closer. It's about a 28 minute drive, so I'll have to make do with my current favorite grocery store Fresh N' Easy, which happens to only be a mile or two away. Where is your favorite place to shop for groceries?

I love Costco! They have absolutely everythiing for really good prices. They're building a bigger one here in Msla, 2 miles from our house. Can't wait!
Hey there,I'm glad you found a great place to shop. Sorry it's so far!! Mitch and I love shopping at the commissary, but lately we've been shopping at HEB on Military b/c it's so much closer, plus, the people are nicer! Congrats on your 2 months!!
When Mary Rae and I moved to San Jose, we never ventured far from home either because we were afraid of getting lost in the wrong part of town. We used to call each other when we did get lost and have the other person get on mapquest and tell us how to get home. Embarrassing, I know. Now I have navigation in my car. It took months me before I got brave enough to explore the area. But as for grocery stores, we are Costco people, and then whatever I can't get at Costco, I go to Safeway for. And then I try to get my produce from the local farmers markets because it is cheaper and tastes so much better.
I LOVE TRADER JOES!!!! I am a trader joes fan through and through. They make a children's yogurt that is about the only thing Chase will eat. I drive 20 minutes to get to my trader joes :( It used to be practically across the street!
I like to shop at Walmart, because they will ad match everything that I see on sale at other stores, so I can usually shop in 1 store, and they take coupons. Love, your cuz, Vera (Your blog is really cute, I've just started mine in the past couple weeks, its frugalfreak.blogspot.com)
