it's like, random!

This post is about the odds and ends that have been the last week. No pretty photoshoped photos, just random ones. My hair is now a different color (sorry no gorgeous pictures to share) and I am increasingly getting more nervous as the growing anticipation is taking over: I'm going to Las Vegas for a house hunting trip! It's going to be so much fun "picking out" a house but it's not going to be an easy decision when it comes to schools, neighborhoods, etc. I'm pretty sure that the Lord wants us to go to LV because everything is falling into place so nicely. Wish me luck! Let's begin the randomness.

Sam made this paper chain with some leftover scrapbooking papers of mine. It goes all the way until the last day of school. He says he hates school and that he never wants to go again. So, this made him excited to wake up in the morning at least once or twice! He's doing very well in school despite his loathing it so much... the teacher made up harder homework for him to do since his was too easy peasy for him. He hasn't complained about his homework since.
This is Brooklyn jamming out to some tunes from my cell phone wearing one of only two shirts that she wears now. (Every day after changing out of her school uniform or church clothes, she puts a tanktop on and a mismatching skirt!) Our old phones finally died so we got some new ones and they happen to have mp3 players on them. I have started turning it on when I'm doing the dishes and the kids just start dancing! Brooklyn does a whole rock guitar thing because if you ask her, she wants to be a rock star with pink hair when she grows up. Music definitely makes things more fun! And on a complete tangent, I was listening to an old tape from high school in the car and Alanis Morisette's You Oughtta Know song came on. Wow that girl had some rage. I realized this morning as I was listening, that when I was a teenager I had no idea what massive feelings were going on in this song. It's amazing how some life experience makes you really understand lyrics in a song. Lyrics that you once knew every single word of and could repeat at the drop of a hat, but yet had very little comprehension of as a 15 year old. I hope that all just made sense!

Here is Madelyn doing yoga. She has been a typical two year old the last week two weeks. She tells me what to do and makes sure I know when I'm doing it wrong. She even figured out how to open the fridge, so now that's where she proudly stows her sippy cup.

This is how exciting our FHE lesson was on Monday....Phil fell alseep!! Actually Danielle, your lesson rocked! My kids had a blast.

I can't believe how much your family has changed. I love the randomness! I am going to LV too! Wouldn't it be funny if we were going at the same time.

Brooklyn does exactly what I do when I get home from work :) I always get the best chuckles out of what your little two year old is up to the most - I think because it reminds me of what my little guy is turning into - a 2 year old!
