Fiesta

So if you've never experienced Fiesta anywhere, {it might be a San Antonio thing?} I'll tell you what it's like: Tissue paper, confetti, floats {miniature and large} parties, loud music, good food, cascarones, and a little bit more confetti. They had their annual fiesta shoe box float parade at Sam and Brook's school. Me and Madelyn went to cheer the kids on as Sam got to make a float this year since he is in Kinder.

The school mascot is an owl, and he made an appearance at the parade this year. Whoo, whoo!

Sam's float is the one with the fighter jet on and the American flag.

This is Sam pulling his float. He looks like he'd rather be somewhere else, but actually he is just a little shy when all those people are looking at him!

Oh my goodness, can you believe it? Some fiesta man had the nerve to sprinkle confetti in Maddie's hair. How dare he! She didn't like it one bit...and I thought her expression was so cute!

ahhh. Takes me back to my days in San Antonio in as a third grader! The tradition lives on. Poor Madelyn, I don't know what I would think either if I was two and someone had done that to me either.

Oh, and I know that you are leaving Texas soon, but Jane just reported to me that it looks like her hubby got a job down in Texarkana, Texas. I know Texas is big, but I thought that was cool that two of my freshmen roommates are making temporary homes in Texas!
