So I’ve been tagged twice by Kira in the last couple of days and once by Jen way back in October so I guess I will finally sit down and write a little bit about myself.

1. I think having a family partially defines who I am. Having kids changed me. I realized that I wasn’t the only one I had to take care of. My children (and my husband for that matter) needed me. I still struggle in finding a balance between taking care of myself and taking care of my children. I want to be the best mom, but sometimes I’m frustrated because my efforts aren’t adding up to the end result that I am trying for. You know, I think I need a mom therapist.

2. I speak French. Ok, I don’t speak French fluently (by golly, I wish I did) but I do speak it. I enjoy anything from Europe. Don’t you know that a bottle of water from Iceland tastes so much better than Ozark from Texas? ;) I would love to do more traveling. There is so much to see in this beautiful world. And the word European has such a smooth flair.

3. I really like to clean. I just wish my cleaning would last a little bit longer. I really can’t function if my kitchen is all messy. I have to clean it and then I can sit and enjoy tv or a book. My mind feels all jumbled if there is chaos. I love the feeling of having a home that’s all put together.

4. I’m having a love affair with my camera. Before it came into my life, I was always wondering why my pictures were so bad. Now I have the ability to take great pictures and I love it. I love capturing a moment of cuteness or naughtiness. We can remember times in our lives so much better with a beautiful picture.

5. If I had to pick one spice girl to be, it would be sporty spice. I try to be posh, and I would love to be posh, (and I will always be a little posh) but deep down I am sporty. I’m definitely not scary, baby or ginger. I love to play sports and I have a competitive side in me. For any of you who hate the spice girls, I’m sorry, but it was a good analogy. And if you were wondering, I married a sporty spice boy. There is no getting him into any sort of “posh” style clothing. Jeans and a t-shirt suit him just fine.

6. If your still reading, wow, I’m impressed you’ve stuck with me this long! ;) I really hate cockroaches. Maybe if I lived in a really expensive home on the northside I wouldn’t have to deal with them. But in this old house…they just find a way in. They are one thing that will not be hard to say goodbye to when the time comes.

I remember the big fire ants that somehow found there way into our Bunch of Oats cereal when I was little living in San Antonio. When they say everything is bigger in Texas, they also meant the insects!
