After all of the Christmas festivities, my parents took our kids with them to California where they would meet up with the rest of the Hinman clan. John and I stayed behind so that he could get in one more day of work, and then we would join them in Cali. One of the nights here, we took a little staycation over at Lake Las Vegas. Our hotel was beautiful, and had a nice view.
Lovely little time with my husband, and without kid distractions. Even though it was so nice, I would still take those kiddos over peace and quiet.

Lake Las Vegas looks really pretty. I've never heard of it before. Looks like a great getaway! And it looks like you had a Merry Christmas! Next time you visit your parents, you should let us know and we'll drive over for a day. :)
That's a great idea Lindsey. We will definitely let you know when we will be up there. We always take a trip up in the summer.
I loved The Host, and now I remember that I never saw the movie!
