Christmas 2012

We had a very fun Christmas this year.  The bottom line is that we were all sick at one point or another.  However, we had a blast even while not feeling so well.  My whole family was able to come to Las Vegas.  Parents, and four siblings. (We were only missing John.)  We stayed at a condo/hotel near downtown, and it was so nice to have cousins to play with and adults to talk to every day for a whole week. 

 

 We are all a fan of our cousin James around here.  (In fact we call him "Cousin James" because we also have an Uncle James.)  Sam loves to hang out and play with him, and he is so good with Scarlet.  She could always find him, grab his finger, and drag him to wherever she wanted to go. 

Scarlet and I sure enjoyed that big hotel bed.  I think I need a King......

Christmas Eve we opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa...no easy feat with 8 adults and 8 kids.

Someone....;)......forgot to bring the stockings down, so we used the kids' socks instead with some handy dandy tape on the wall.  It worked just fine!

Christmas morning, the kids awoke early and were excited to get opening those presents.  Santa was good to all the kids and they were each happy with their gifts.  Afterwards we had breakfast and then went swimming.  A perfect Christmas day if you ask me!

There is John on the itty bitty itouch screen.  Our ipad stopped charging while we were down there and so we were stuck with that.  But, it still worked and he was able to watch the kids open their presents.

Yes, Scarlet is carrying around a screen in every picture.  She was SUPER grumpy the whole time and that was the only thing that made her happy.

Madelyn surprised me with flipping off the side while we were there.  I'm pretty sure she wasn't doing that in the summer.


 Scarlet wasn't a fan of the pool, but rather the hot tub.  She loved it.

All the cousins minus Finley and Scarlet.  Every shot I took there was someone doing something goofy, so sorry Madelyn, you are mid-cough.

It was a very merry Christmas indeed!
