18 months

Scarlet is 18 months!  She sure has grown up after the last little while, but is still very much our baby.  She is saying a good handful of words and her recent  favorite is "no, no."  Her feisty temper is on display quite often, and she lets you know when she is not happy with whats going on.  I'm hoping the stomping feet and throwing her whole body on the floor while crying is a phase.  Actually I remember my other kids doing it, and they seemed to grow out of it.  (Let's hope it doesn't last long!)   Scarlet loves to take baths, and will hurry on upstairs to the tub if you ask her if she wants to take one.   She will very willingly take a shower with her sisters too.  She doesn't mind taking a nap or going to bed as long as she has her binky and 2 favorite blankets.

She likes to play peek-a-boo, stack cups, and will climb up onto the couch and look at books.  She will intently empty one bowl of something (cereal, beans, rocks) into another bowl.  This keeps her busy while I am cooking. In fact if she hears me cooking, she will beg to be put up on the counter right next to me.

Scarlet is a daddy's girl, and screams and runs for the door when he comes home from work.  She also loves to play with big sisters and brother.   When we pick them up from school, she spots them across the parking lot and gets all excited.

Her eyes have changed from blue to green, and her hair keeps growing!  She's rocking the mullet right now.  John says that she should be Scarlet Ray Cyrus for halloween.  Hmmmm......

We love you sweet Scarlet!
