We still have two more weeks of school here, but I thought I would do a little end of the year update. I had a newborn photo shoot at home, and the background and lights were set up, so I like to torture my kids a little. Aren't they so cute in their uniforms?
#1 Samuel Oh boy, this kid has grown up so much this year. I never hear him complain about going to school (maybe a little about homework) and he has blossomed into quite the writer. He has become a little bossy as of late, but possibly that comes with being the oldest. I think he's ready for the challenges of 5th grade next year, but I don't think I am yet!
Sam's nerdy side: He is a bookworm! He'll gladly carry on a lengthy conversation about the latest book he is reading and better yet, the book that he wants to read next.
#2 Brooklyn This girl is also growing up and has a very responsible streak in her that is mixed with a stubborn streak. That is, if she wants to do well at something, she sure does a great job! She has the biggest imagination, and comes up with the wildest stories. She is already talking about who will be in her class next year and what teacher she will have. I think she might like school a tiny bit!
Brooklyn's nerdy side: she finds science fascinating and loves to do experiments. She is doing a report on Venus right now.
#3 Madelyn Ah.....my little sidekick. I'm sure going to miss her next year when she doesn't come home for lunch. She was scared to say a single word in class at the beginning of the year, and now comes home and tells me all the conversations she has had with her friends around the tables. She still comes home bursting with energy and excitement. She's learned to read.....first grade here she comes!
Madelyn's nerdy side: She begs me to make up math pages for her to do. (what?!) Also, Bey blades......oh, she gets into it!
#4 Scarlet....................I'm lucky enough to have her with me for the next four years. She gets cuter everyday, and is starting to copy the big kids. This is when you wish your kids had a few less bad habits. (Arguing, not-sharing, anyone?)
Scarlet's nerdy side.....she loves to flip pages, so any book will do, but especially the hymn books at church, those fragile scripture pages, and all her board books at home. (Her hair sticking out from her ear totally makes this picture!)
