We stopped off at Virginia City, a little thriving (on tourism) ghost town in Montana. We had a blast!
It was fun to look in all of the old windows and see the old furniture, clothes and toys.
I told the kids to give me their best "wild west" face. This is what they came up with!
On the way to lunch we had a flip flop scandal.
Madelyn's flip flops were hurting her feet.
Dad lended her his, and put her's on.
However, they did not fit.
So then Dad traded with Sam, because Sam's flip flop straps can fit an adult foot.
But then, Sam was wearing flip flops with butterflies, and that just wouldn't do.
So then Brooklyn traded her flip flops for Madelyn's flip flops.
No one was wearing their own shoes, except for mom!
We ate lunch at an old cafe, it had cool tin ceilings, and there was plenty of arm wrestling.
As we drove out of town, there was all sorts of cool old wooden buildings, including this house: The details on it are amazing.
For comparison, here is an old one that we did in San Antonio when Matt and Nichole came to visit us. Madelyn was the baby then. Fun!
